A potted history

Started over 30 years ago as ‘The Fencing Centre’, the business has gone from strength to strength carefully adapting to market trends along the way. Incorporating the products originally made available all those years ago and, more recently, has built up a considerably broader and exclusive range of products including quality timber garden buildings, a range of garden storage, and both timber and composite fencing and gates.

The ‘Hidden Garden Company’, the sister company to ‘The Fencing Centre’, began some 13 years ago created by owner, Jules Walker, in honour of her parent’s passion for all things green.

Here, you can browse through our broad selection of mature and semi-mature specimen trees, shrubs and conifers, which have been chosen for both those in the garden profession and private individuals who wish to create an immediate visual impact in their gardens. Along with a wide range of hedging, screening (to hide unsightly buildings and views) and a fabulous range of olives, Jules' passion and eye-for-detail is especially evident in the business, which is ever evolving.

Tim Dolling, Manager & qualified experienced horticulturist, has worked at The Hidden Garden Co for over 12 years now. Tim has been instrumental in making the business what it is today and is responsible for the sourcing and day-to-day running of the nursery, personally selecting all our Italian nursery stock. This is done twice a year with visits to the Tuscan area of Italy. Along with the above, Tim’s role is to visit customers' gardens advising which plants would enhance their surroundings and to personally show them around our stock at our nursery. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced gardener, Tim can liaise with you to fulfil your gardening dreams. With Tim’s wealth of knowledge and passion, Jules & Tim make a great team.
